After PlayStation Network gamers could not log in for a sixth straight day, Sony said that they are keeping the network offline for an indefinite period of time, according to a blog posting on Monday.

“I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online," Patrick Seybold, Sony’s Senior Director for Corporate Communications and Social Media, said in the post. "Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or time frame to share at this point in time."

As the network was hacked into, some users’ personal information might have been stolen, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The company said that it is trying to relaunch the service for its 75 million customers.

“As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly," added the post. "We’ll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience."

The network was shut down last Wednesday and the company is currently investigating how the network security was breached.

Some gamers were visibly frustrated with the network being down. One commenter said, “Who cares just fix it!!!” on the company’s Facebook page in regard to the blog posting on Monday.

D-Guzman I totally agree, I hadn't even noticed PSN was down till I read it on this website. If this was 1 or 2 weeks later then fair enough but its been 5 days FFS! Wouldn't say I hate hackers especially not on this website. Just the cheating little kids and the idiots that thought it would be fun to ruin PSN for millions of users.

Haha your saying lock on sucks on an FTB3 website lol I love that and I totally agree lock on sucks balls. I like FTB3 in short bursts but seriously guys.......try playing Syphon Filter, maybe not as good now but back in the day SF pisses on FTB3 any day: pure skill, custom maps, awesome community features like a message board, chat lobby, clan area, mail feature etc, way more interesting weapons, I could go on........ Right now I'm lovin Crysis 2 its a fresh change from all the identical FPS games and feels so epic but there aint as much time for gaming these days which brings me back on topic how old are u guys? Do u really have that much time for games that ur pissed off at a few days without PSN? If you've got that much free time then good for you. I guess if I was 12 I would be pretty pissed off too.

Good for you go and play Sypho Filter till PSN is back up then or if ur hopeless without ur target lock try Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron (the newer 1 sucks) although its not very good. Not every psp game needs PSN to go online I'm sure there are other games u can play online without PSN but like I said Syphon Filter is the best. PSN being down is no big deal most people can live without it and if you can't like I said you can still play games online without PSN. Hope this helps, now calm down ppl.
