Bad news for all of us Sad


Since its first announcement there havent been much information about this super secret projet called Next Generation Portable.

The reason why Sony has cancelled the release of the NGP was the release of the Nintendo 3DS: the 3DS has been released about 9 months before the expired release date of the NGP. 
Sony thinks they cant recover this huge advantage anymore and that they wont be able to sell enough units to make any benefit at all.

Also the recent disaster in Japan limits the production of the NGP:
The whole hardware of the NGP was meant to be produced by japanese companies, but due to the atomic catastrophe in Fukushima all campanies have been forced to save energy & to hold all unessential productions.

Also the fact that lots of japanese companies, such as the actually producer of the famous back-touchpad and front touchscreen, have gone into insolvency, there are alot of missing hardware parts.

These top secret informations have been recorded by an McDonalds employee while a Sony employee was talking to a friend through his cell phone.

The McDonalds employee sold these informations to the press for 1.400 $

The unlucky Sony employee has immediatly been discharged and sony sued him for 4.1 Billion ¥

Man this sucks. i was saving up for this. Sad . I guess the cancellation was for the best of the company. And i mean if SONY's factory what ever was on the other side of Japan where they WEREN'T affected by the earthquake and tsunami then i don't see why stop the production.
