Yeah you need the EU version.

And there are tools to convert gamesaves from US to EU. But you still need an EU version of the game.

Google "gamesave deemer."

It is a tool that decrypts the game save, making conversion possible. You can also do many things with it, aside from converting.

I could make a tutorial tomorrow.
